The reigning King of Westeros, Robert Baratheon won his title 17 years ago when he took the throne away from Aerys Targaryen, known as the Mad King. With help from his childhood friend Ned Stark, Robert led a rebellion against the Mad King after Rhaegar Targaryen kidnapped his fiancée, Lyanna Stark. It is no secret that these days, Robert's interests lean more towards whoring and drink and less to governing his kingdom.
